Comeragh Mountains
The Comeragh Mountains are a glaciated mountain range located between Waterford and Tipperary. You can see the panoramic view of the mountains from our cottage. The mountains consist of a plateau of old red sandstone with a series of corries, blanket bog, heath, upland grassland, and streams. The mountains are easy to access and there is even a car park from where you can start hiking or walking.
The Comeraghs are formed by twelve mountains. It's a very popular place for mountain climbers and hiking. The highest point is at 792 m (2,598 ft).
Magic Road
The Magic Road is a place where if you stop the car and let the handbrake off, the vehicle will mysteriously roll uphill. The most famous Magic Road is located along a country road close to Mahon Falls. You can find that place very easily as it is marked by a big rock with 'Magic Road' written on it.
Mahon Falls
Mahon Falls is an 80m waterfall in the Comeragh Mountains. There is a small car park very close to the falls where you can leave your car to see the waterfall from close.
