Tramore Beach
Tramore (Irish Trá Mhór) basically means 'big beach' but it's more than just a 5 km long sandy beach. Tramore is the place where the Irish go to swim, to surf or just to enjoy the sunshine and long walks. Tramore's waves are famous among the surfer's community. You can get there either by car or with the Bus no. 360 leaving at Waterford Bus Station.

Surfing

You can take surfing lessons, rent a surfboard or bring your own and enjoy the waves of the Celtic Sea.

If you are interested in surfing lessons, check out Oceanics Surf School, located right at the beach in Tramore. Oceanics offer a specifically designed programme called EXCELERATE to get people out on the waves as fast as possible. This runs several times per year. They also offer Wellness Days. You can book online.

Walking

There a some beautiful scenic walks in Tramore such as Doneraile Walk, Cliff Road Walk, as well as the 5 km Strand Walk.

Amusement & Leisure Park
​
Opposite the promenade you can find Amusement & Leisure Park in Tramore. It's a great place for all the family to have some fun. It's open in summer.
