Viking Triangle

The Viking Triangle is the historic centre of Waterford City. The main sites of the Viking Triangle are the Medieval Museum, the Reginald's Tower and the Bishop's Palace - all together also known as 'Museum of Treasures'.

Medieval Museum

The Medieval Museum contains two medieval chambers: the 13th century Choristers’ Hall and the 15th century Mayor’s Wine Vault. It preserves several medieval structures within its walls so you get a feeling how life had been in the medieval era.

Reginald's Tower

The Reginald's Tower was built in the 12th century and is named in honour of a Viking. The Tower contains the "Viking Museum" and contains a variety of artifacts from the ancient past.

Bishop's Palace

The Bishop's Palace was built in 1743 and is surrounded by a collection of other 18th century buildings. The palace is opposite the house of Waterford Chrystal in the heart of Waterford City. The building is furnished with Irish 18thcentury furniture, paintings, silverware and glassware.
